Lifting in a Wash-Down Area?

Industrial workspace with blue hoses and yellow pneumatic lifting device labeled ANVER on concrete floor.

What We Installed

  • A jib crane built from 316 stainless steel, rated at 250 lbs per lift and designed to stand up to daily chemical wash-downs
  • An ergonomic vacuum lifting device to pick up the boxes

We designed, supplied and installed both.

How the Project Came Together

From Challenge to Solution

See how each project came together, from the initial need and installation process to the finished result.

The Problem

Operators were lifting 100 lb boxes by hand, over and over, from pallets at floor level onto a conveyor line 36 inches off the floor. The customer wanted a more efficient and ergonomic way to move them.

How It Went In

We designed the crane and the vacuum lifter around a single task: moving boxes from floor-level pallets up to a conveyor 36 inches off the floor. Then we supplied and installed both.

The Result

Operators no longer lift the boxes by hand, which removes the lifting injury risk from the task. The job now takes one person, and one operator can do it for an entire shift.
