Lifting Something Heavy?

Industrial warehouse interior with metal mesh panels, steel framework, and lift equipment inside a facility.

What We Installed

A PFlow Series F, a four-post mechanical lift rated for 15,000 lbs with 15 ft 0 in of vertical travel, serving 2 levels at about 18 ft per minute. The carriage measures 11 ft W × 12 ft L × 9 ft H.

  • Controls: Two-level call and send
  • Gates: Powered vertical-acting
  • Enclosure: Full enclosure

How the Project Came Together

From Challenge to Solution

See how each project came together, from the initial need and installation process to the finished result.

The Problem

The customer needed to move heavy machinery, oversized materials and multiple pallets up a 15-foot rise at high cycle rates, safely. Oversized loads sit unevenly on a two-post lift's cantilevered carriage, so the four-post Series F, which supports the carriage at each corner, fit the load shape.

How It Went In

We assessed the load, the rise and the cycle rate with the customer, then specified a PFlow Series F four-post mechanical lift. The F Series was chosen for its stability and its ability to handle oversized and extremely heavy loads. The carriage was customized to fit the facility.

The Result

The lift runs at approximately 18 feet per minute, so loads move between floors smoothly and quickly. The title of the case study gives the payload as 15,000 lb. The customer now moves machinery, oversized material and multiple pallets between levels on one lift.
