Gorbel Introduces New G-Jib™

A Smart Alternative to the Traditional Work Station Jib/Chain Hoist Combo. Gorbel Inc. has expanded their line of G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Devices to include the new G-Jib™, a fusion of the G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Device and an enclosed track work station jib crane.

Power and Motion recently completed a storage rack de-installation project in Georgia consisting of 2 million pounds of ferrous steel. The steel racking system was over 20 years old and well past its useful life as pallet racking in the existing industrial distribution facility.

Gorbel has recently introduced the aluminum gantry crane. The concept of the aluminum gantry crane is to provide the customer with a lightweight gantry crane that can be easily moved to a specific location. There are several features that make the aluminum gantry crane a smart investment.

Power and Motion, located in Atlanta Georgia was selected to design, sell, and install a custom conveyor system for a roll handling application. The conveyor incorporated a custom in-feed gravity cradle that held a felt roll weighing 80 pounds, with an unrolled length of 100'.

Power and Motion Industrial Sales recently completed a modular office project in Georgia for a major manufacturing facility.

The project consisted of designing and building a 13,000 SF modular building, installing two 40 ton rooftop AC units, all of the duct work and completing the project with a Stonhard epoxy flooring system. While working on site for the end-user we were hired to do several more construction and material handling projects.

We recently completed a renovation of our supply room and maintenance offices. Previously, we had numerous satellite locations that stored several products, and a small core storage area that held the majority of our material.

One of the big things I've learned in this job is that there are a lot of different names for the parts and pieces in the material handling industry. One example? Gantry. At Gorbel, a "gantry" is a particular style of mobile crane, but outside of Gorbel, I've also heard multiple people use "gantry" as a catch-all term for all overhead cranes.
